DevOps consulting, without the theater
NorthCoast DevOps is a small practice. You work with the same people who assess the system and carry the changes—not a rotating bench behind an account manager.
We care whether the work still makes sense six months after we leave.
What we take on
Three buckets—often together, sometimes one at a time:
- Production platforms: how traffic, compute, and data paths behave when load or failure hits.
- Trust and evidence: access models, encryption, logging, and what third parties actually ask to see.
- How software ships: pipelines, gates, alerts, and who answers the page when something breaks.
We are not a general MSP. If the work doesn’t fit those buckets, we say so early.
How we work
Defaults on every engagement:
- You speak with engineers before anything is scoped—not a handoff through sales layers.
- Work lands in small, reversible slices. Each slice ships with notes your team can trace.
- We automate only where it removes error or toil. No tooling for its own sake.
- Tradeoffs stay explicit: cost, risk, and ownership at odd hours.
Why NorthCoast DevOps
Stance—not a feature list:
- Regulated and high-churn production work—not pitch decks or generic maturity models.
- Stack choices follow your reality. We don’t mandate a vendor storyline.
- Handoff is in scope: runbooks, access patterns, and a clear next owner.
- Engagements have a defined end state. Ongoing help is optional, not the default.
